HISTORY

In 1972, Jiles T. (Beadie) Lynch, a Certified Boiler Inspector with 29 years of experience, established B&D Marine and Industrial Boilers, Inc. Mr. Lynch was President and General Manager until his death in 1985. At its origin, the company had four employees that serviced, repaired and inspected marine boilers.

In 1984, Phyllis L. Faircloth, the daughter of Beadie took the helm of the corporation, and became principle owner in 1985. She led the Company, establishing it as a multi−million dollar, international corporation. Although Ms. Faircloth retired in 2006, she is actively involved as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

B&D starts Operations in Charleston

1984−1985

Phyllis Faircloth becomes principle stockholder and B&D President

1986

B&D moves to Larger Facility in Charleston, SC

1995

B&D Spins off its NDE division to form a new firm

1997

B&D expands with a new procurement facility

1999

B&D expands with new offices in the Carolinas

2000

B&D builds a new corporate building

2006

Phyllis retires to enjoy the important things in Life
