B&D Boilers holds The National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) "R" Stamp and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) "S", "H", "PP", and "U" Stamps. We are always looking for the highest quality talent for welders with knowledge of welding process, various types of welding equipment, and fabrication requirements associated with assembling structural forms and pressure vessels. Able to work in confined spaces. • Professional appearance and demeanor. • Strong communication skills. • Willingness to travel for out-of-town jobs. • Willingness to work extended hours, varying shifts and emergent work. • Able to work in pressure situations with little or no supervision. • Willingness to take responsibility for assigned equipment and inventory. • Personal Tools Required (as itemized in Terms of Employment). • Six years of field experience(or equivalent education, certification or accreditation)(Exceptions may be approved by the hiring officer). • Safe Driver (DMV record must meet the requirements of the Company insurance provider) (Exceptions may be approved by the hiring officer). Understanding and experience with: • Written welding procedures. • Ox/fuel Operations (Burning, Brazing and Heating). • SMAW (Stick) and GTAW (Tig) open-root pipe welding. • FCAW (Flux Core) GMAW (Mig) experience a plus. • Welding in all positions. Required Tig and Stick tests in the 6G position. • Carbon and stainless pipe and tube fabrication. • Various types of welding equipment and welding rods. • Working in confined spaces. • Industrial firetube and watertube boilers - scotch marine firetube boilers, and package watertube boilers of various manufacturers. • Piping, refractory, and mechanical. • Positioning and securing structural parts and related assemblies of pressure vessels. • Proper use of measuring equipment, transit, square, and plumb bob, etc. • Proper use of wedges, turnbuckles, jacks, hammers, cutting torch, file, and power grinder. • Working as a part of the crew when not welding.
